“Creative Macro & Impressionistic Flower Photography”

Charles will discuss how to create unique, artistic close-up images of flowers and other subjects (even in the dead of winter, on your own kitchen table!) using various props and tools such as stained and textured glass, mylar, colored papers/fabrics, multi-colored flashlights, etc.  In addition, using illustrated examples, Charles will outline numerous creative camera techniques, such as: multiple-exposures, multi-image montage, selective-focus macro, and creative camera/subject movement.  You will learn to literally “paint with light” while developing your own artistic vision, shooting from the heart and translating feelings into pixels, falling in love with photography all over again.

Author, Writer, Teacher - Freeman Patterson is a the epitome of what is sometimes referred to as a "photographer's photographer". His many years as a photographer and a teacher has influenced and inspired generations of photographers all over the world. The insight he brings into the craft of photography is both generous and eye-awakening.

He regularly teaches workshops in the Bruce Peninsula and in his home in Tecumseh Ontario.

He given numerous lectures in Ontario, Quebec and South Africa.


 

 

Tyler Brownbridge   

"A photojournalistic approach"

Photojournalist Tyler Brownbridge is a member of The Windsor Star photo team.

He is a regular contributor to Photosensitive, a group that strives for social change through documentary photography.

He has been awarded for his work by the Newspaper Photographers Association, Ontario Newspaper Awards and The Canadian Press
